**APPLICATION PROCESS**

The application process itself can be very complex . Scholarship applications are not easy and it is important to start early .

**SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME APPLICATION TIMELINE**

The scholarship application process can be quite intricate and it’s crucial to start early due to its demanding nature. Here is the proposed timeline to guide prospective applicants:

  1. **Scholarship Application Form:** We advise prospective applicants to complete the scholarship application form available on our website.

  1. **SAT Preparatory Classes:** Besides our one-year USA Foundation course that begins in September, we offer a 5-week intensive live online SAT preparatory course in April each year. This course is specifically designed to prepare students for scholarship applications, and is conducted by our experienced tutors based in the USA.

  1. **Finalizing Essays and Personal Statements:** By August, applicants are expected to have their essays and personal statements ready for upload on the Common Application.

  1. **Common Application:** The Common Application admissions portal opens every year on the 1st of August. We encourage applicants to commence their application process from this date.

  1. **Essay Writing:** The essay is often the most challenging part of the Common Application. Students are required to review the prompts for the personal statement essay on the Common App. The application will require submission of essays, references, transcripts, and scores. Apart from filling out the application form, applicants will also need to submit an essay or personal statement through the Common App, equivalent to college essays or personal statements.

  1. **Early Decision Applications:** Deadlines for Early Decision applications for Ivy League and certain other universities range from the 1st of November to mid-November, depending on the university. Regular Decision deadlines typically fall between early January and mid-February.

  1. **Final SAT Exams:** For applicants seeking Early Decision admission into Ivy League and other top-tier universities, it’s essential to complete the final SAT exams by July/August. This provides sufficient time to complete the Common Application for respective universities.

  1. **University Specific Deadlines:** Many universities operate on a rolling admissions basis, meaning their deadlines can vary. We recommend checking with specific university websites for accurate deadlines.

  1. **Common Application Completion:** Once you’ve selected your top six universities, you’ll need to complete the Common Application for each institution.

**PERSONAL STATEMENTS**

Crafting compelling essays and personal statements is a critical part of the university application process. These documents are instrumental in assessing a student’s eligibility for scholarships. Our consultants will guide you through brainstorming, drafting, and revising powerful essays that effectively convey your unique attributes, experiences, and ambitions to university admissions committees.

**Guidelines for Writing a Personal Statement:**

– Provide details about your academic and personal background, and your reasons for interest in the chosen course or subjects.

– Mention any prior employment, work experience, or voluntary work that has influenced your course or subject choice.

– Highlight key core skills you have developed.

– Share any significant achievements.

– Discuss influences related to your chosen course, subjects, or career, such as previous experiences or familial influence.

– Include details of any non-examined subjects you are currently studying or have previously studied.
